indescribable.
I like to title my posts after I write them. I don’t know where these posts lead to or where my mind wonders so I leave all summarization for the end. Sitting at coffee bean trying to stay off all blogging sites and trying to keep my eyes from looking at my lighting up iphone…the evening is quite perfect.
This past week has been FUN. My darling friend, Caroline moved in to the apartment this week. She is full of life and energy. I have a feeling that we are going to become inseparable. Yoga. Groceries. Pool. Harvard and Stone. There is never a dull moment. And I am grateful. One of the most special moments we have shared together was last night when we both re-united in the apartment after our outings for dinner. I went to Vegan Glory with my love, Lo. We chatted over pad thai and then treated ourselves to pinkberry with all fruit, of course. But when we got back to the apartment we both were exhausted and in need of girl time. We laid our sunburnt bodies into her way-too-comfy twin size bed to rest, to talk, to close our eyes, to laugh, to make fun of each others toes, and compare tan lines. Moments like these remind me of the mornings I spend with my now 19 year old brother, Jeff. I love to walk into his room when I am restless in the morning, turn on his television, curl up next to him under the covers and just be there. Not talking, just being there with each other. I am grateful for this degree of comfort between her and I.
My third quarter at FIDM has begun… and I am very happy to say that it is not going to be nearly as hard as last quarter. I have learned how to prepare for projects, mid terms and exams. I truly thought I had prepared myself, coming to FIDM with a Bachelors in Psychology from UMD but this is a completly different school and curriculum. Experiecning FIDM is the only way I could have prepared for this place. This oh-so-beautiful place.
The internship at Los Angeles Magazine is going swell. Truly in loveeeee with my boss, my responsibilities, my contribution. I attended the Reformation Store Opening off Melrose where I met Pia, Brand Manager as well as several employees of this unique boutique. I was also in the presence of Rumi Neely, fashion blogger of fashiontoast. We exchanged words of encouragement and she reminded me why I am doing what I am doing. Very thankful.
On the side playing with Caroline, going to class and interning I have been looking at Yoga Forums, Coachella accessories (second week, whats up!!!), and reading hunger games. WIshing I could send this sunset on 3rd street to all the beautiful people reading this. Give love today.
